Coffee is a
relatively new crop in Nepal, offering great
promise for the future in this tiny, yet
most enchanting mountain kingdom. Beneath
her icy Himalayan peaks lay lush, fertile
valleys, perfect for growing some of the
world’s finest shade-grown Arabica coffees. |

Our Nepalese
coffee is organically grown at an altitude
of 2,200 – 2,400 feet in the foothills of
the Ganish Himal mountain range. The beans
are ripened in the thin Himalayan air under
sunlit azure skys and a canopy of shade
trees. Once harvested, the beans are washed
with water from the snow-fed Trisuli river
and sun-dried. |

blend our Nepalese beans with 100% organic,
fair trade coffees, resulting in a medium
bodied, smooth cup. This is truly a rare and

Few places on
Earth stir such wanderlust as the rarified,
sunlit slopes of Africa’s Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Its indigenous Chagga farmers have been
perfecting the cultivation of perhaps the
world’s finest volcanic coffee for over a
century under lush canopies of banana trees,
as members of the Kilimanjaro Native
Cooperative Union, Africa’s oldest coffee
cooperative, established in 1924. |

The KNCU
collects coffee from 96 village societies,
representing over 150,000 small scale local
farmers. In addition to earning a reputation
and numerous awards for its distinctive
Kilimanjaro coffee, prized for its body,
acidity and flavor unique to the mountain’s
volcanic soils, the KNCU supports the
community through educational, environmental
and micro-financing initiatives. |

coffee is medium bodied with just the right
balance of acidity and richness for a
perfect morning and afternoon delicacy. It

Bereft of the
oil resources and wealth common to many Arab
nations, Yemen is rich with magnificent and
captivating natural wonders which far
surpass her neighbors. It is awe inspiring,
considering our western dependence on
technology, that coffee there is grown and
processed in much the same way is has been
for 500 years and that for the most part, it
remains harmonious to both the culture and
the environment. |

Typically,
coffee in Yemen is grown on spectacular
terraces clinging to dusty mountainsides,
below ancient geometric villages. The misty
summer rains arrive as the coffee trees are
blossoming and their fruit is forming,
bringing the hills to life with multitudes
of small but lush leafy green trees. As
autumn approaches, the air dries and the
fruit ripens, is picked, and then set out to
dry on nearby rooftops. |

to the country from Jamaica about 230 years
ago, Mexican coffee farmers, blessed with
perfect growing condition including rich
volcanic soil, high altitude and a lush,
temperate climate, have overcome innumerable
obstacles to produce some of the world’s
finest coffees today. |

Our Mexican
Decaf coffee is shade grown, organic,
certified fair trade and utilizes
water process decaffeination. It is light to
medium bodied, uncomplicated and a very
pleasant coffee for all day, anytime
enjoyment. In fact, we believe it is one of
the finest, most satisfying decaf coffees
available anywhere. |
